The Process

  1. Gather information about desired modification including product data, color samples, pictures, sketches, and/or survey as needed.
  2. Submit the Architectural Request Form found in the “Downloads” section. Once the form is completed please email the form and attachments to the committee chair listed above.
  3. The committee will make contact with any questions and/or schedule a site visit as needed to discuss further.
  4. The committee chair will provide an official approval once completed.

What We Do

The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is responsible for upholding the executed Covenants and Restrictions (CCRs) and maintaining the overall look and feel of our neighborhood. The committee will discuss and review architectural requests from homeowners looking to update or improve their property within the guidelines of our charter.

Common Requests Include (but not limited to):
  • Tree Removal
  • Exterior Paint (including Doors & Shutters)
  • Roof Replacement
  • Landscaping
  • Deck or Fence Construction
  • Playhouse or Utility Buildings
  • Driveway, Sidewalk, Patio Extension Work

Are you considering making changes to the exterior of your home? This is what you need to know before you do. We have provided the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions regarding the Architectural Review Committee and the approval process. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions you may have prior to submitting your request for approval.

Please allow up to 30 days for final approval.

What kind of work requires approval?

Any exterior updates, improvements, modifications, or renovations need to be submitted and reviewed for compliance.

Why is approval required?

Porter’s Landing was built on the foundation and principles found within the covenants and restrictions. Everyone that purchases property in the neighborhood is subsequently agreeing to abide by those standards. The Board of Directors have the right to issue fines for properties that fall outside of those standards. The committee is responsible for creating a quick and efficient review process to ensure those standards are met and residents can improve their homes.
